Moulin Huet Bay
One of Guernsey's most famous views: Renoir painted Moulin Huet Bay during his visit to the Island in 1883. Rocky outcrops, clear water and dramatic cliffs make it a favourite with walkers and painters alike.
On Our Doorstep
Cliff walks, sheltered bays and village life on the beautiful south-east coast of the Island of Guernsey.
The Parish
St. Martin is one of Guernsey's most beautiful parishes, with some of the Island's finest coastal scenery. From La Pompe there is easy access to the south-east cliff walks and the pretty bays below them.
The cliff path winds along the coast between wooded valleys and rugged headlands, with views across the sea to Sark, Herm and, on a clear day, Jersey.
When you're not exploring, the village has everything you need: supermarkets, a pharmacy, a bank, cash machines and a post office, with the bus to St. Peter Port and the west coast close by.

St. Martin's Point, Jerbourg.
Bays & Beaches
The south coast is dotted with beautiful bays, each reached by a path or lane down through the cliffs.

A beautiful wooded bay on the east coast, reached along the cliff path between St. Martin and St. Peter Port. A wonderful spot for a swim or a lazy afternoon.
Cliff Walks

At the south-eastern tip of the Island, Jerbourg offers sweeping views over the rocky Pea Stacks and across the sea to the neighbouring islands.
A dramatic headland west of Moulin Huet, with breathtaking views back along the coast. A favourite stop on the cliff path.
The cliff paths are well signposted but can be steep, with plenty of steps, so good walking shoes are recommended. The bus makes it easy to walk one way and ride back.
History & Heritage

At the gate of St. Martin's Parish Church stands this remarkable prehistoric statue-menhir, carved thousands of years ago. Local tradition says she brings good luck, especially to newlyweds.
